CLK 55 front wheel bearings

Looking for any insight to front wheel bearing replacement for my 01 CLK 55..started that "whirrr whirrr" sound a few weeks ago and slowly getting louder.. anyone have to replace theirs yet.? I'm currently at 62k..got a high quote for parts too but have since seen two brands at around $25 per inner and outer bearing..

first make sure you dont have play on your wheels, maybe you just need to repack the bearings and tighten up the clamp. if thats the case, make sure you use Mercedes Benz high temperature wheel bearing grease. well even if you get the new bearings use the MB grease...lol

thanks GT Champion.. I have no play in the wheels just to steady "Whirrr whirr" sound . the noise is consistent at any speed but more prevalent between 35 - 55 mph.. I'm going to replace the wheel bearings on both sides and replace the front and rear brake pads at the same time.. London B
