A spoke with the Customer Service Department and they assured me the work could be completed in less than 48 hours. After two week of calling and emailing, I finally received in the mail what I thought was my ECU, but once I checked the serial numbers on the plate, they were different. They swapped my ECU. You can tell this is a old ECU just by the look of the case, it had forced open and screws were missing. My car has been sitting in the same spot for the last two week. Do you think I should try this ECU or return it for my original one. If I return it, that's means my car will sit for an additional two weeks. I spent $2850 for the ECU upgrade and power pulley. Any assistance at all will be greatly appreciated.

Hi mate.
Sorry to hear that you've had to wait for so long.
I know from experience how annoying it can be to have to wait weeks and weeks for things to be delivered.
If you believe that the ECU that was delivered to you is in fact NOT your original ECU, the you should by all means contact the tuners.
You need to contact them as soon as you can really, to avoid further complications (e.g "why did you wait so long to contact us").
Leaving it a while might also imply that
you may be at fault.
On the subject of ECU remaps,
Some tuners do not have the software to communicate with the ECU's that are married to the new 63 engine.
I think the ECU's in the new 63 cars are different to the previously used ECU's.
So, in which case, I believe there is an alternative way to re-map the ECU, but it requires opening the ECU physically.
Other tuners have technologies that enable communication with ECU's without opening them.
It may be that it was necessary to open yours.
Nothing really to worry about there, bud.
But I'm alittle concerned that there were screws missing?!
Bit of a school boy error there.
Also, did you say that the ECU casing is different to your original one?
I have to say, that doesn't sound right.
Definately contact them as soon as possible.
They may well have explanations for all this.
They may even have sent you a pre-mapped ECU that is geared for the new 63 engine?
Don't worry too much.
Give them a call and put your questions to them.
Don't try the ECU if you're not sure.
But call them and have them explain what's been done.
Also, I wouldn't worry about your car sitting for a few weeks.
It'll be fine, especially if it's in a garage.
Because of the weather over here, mine has been sat in the garage too.
It has 3-4 weeks before I drive it sometimes.
But it's been fine.
