Default 07 e63

hello i just bought an 2007 e63 a few days ago and i took it to the track a nd i was hoping to do better than i did. my best 1/8 mile time was 8.766 @ 85.42mph and i thought the car should be in the 7.7 - 8.0 range. can anyone give me some advise if i should leave esp on/off etc. What time should expect with a bone stock car?

also i was looking at some performance parts ecu but they are really expensive does anyone know where to go or what to reccomend. i am still under warrenty so whatever i do i dont want to lose it.

thanks

You are absolutley right, if your doing hard launches and your tires are breaking traction just a fraction the ESP is intervening taking power away from you, if it detects tires slipping, and applies rear brakes to get everything back under control etc. Turn ESP off and try again.

turn that shit off and learn how to get her going without spinning (too much anyway)

its a freaking AMG, not a dodge neon, what did you think it would be? for a tuning company to make software they have to buy or rent the car. obviously there arent many AMGs for rent so they have to buy and take the hit. plus if they damage it, repairs are of course pricier, lastly mercedes maps are incredibly complex and take lots of R&D hours

Yeah, that's true.

But there should now be a few tuners with the software now.

In the UK, there are at least 4 or 5 places you can go to re-map the M156 engine and the new ECU that it has.

I know that some places are unable to communicate with these new ECU's.

Hi mate.

You should try getting a clean start off the lines with a SprintBooster installed.

Haha - now that really is a hair trigger!

I've managed to get good, rapid starts out of my CLK63.
Some guys were sitting next to me at some lights in a GT-R (R34).
Man, I tore off the lights.

Even they asked if I had "launched" it.

I was pleased with my throttle control.
I had warm tyres too, which helped.

I have yet to try with ESP off.
